Snow Day!

Well praise the Lord, the usual January ice storm has come and not the week of the wedding. It started coming down Monday afternoon and just recently stopped. Thanks to that, we had today off of work, and just heard that we have tomorrow off too! Woot!

Barron braved the roads and brought his computer/DVR and speakers over, so he spent the afternoon setting those up while I did some more little things for the wedding, laundry, even did some packing for the honeymoon! Woohoo!

Around 6:30 a UPS truck slowed down in front of the house. A few minutes later, the deliveryman is running across the lawn with two huge boxes - wedding presents! Boy did we feel bad. I apologized and asked how many more stops he had - thankfully we were the last one.

Now we get to go dig Barron's car out of the latest wave of weather so he can drive home...but hey, only 10 more days of that!!

Showered With Love

Today was such a blessing. Some sweet ladies threw us a beautiful shower today, complete with piggies in a blanket, mini cupcakes with pink icing, and chocolate covered Oreos with our monogram on them. How fun and how thoughtful!

Thank you to all who attended. It was fun to see so many friends at once. You blessed us with many things that we will use as we begin our life together. I'll be sure to keep Barron well fed with all of the new kitchen stuff!

We'll add some pictures later, but wanted to say a quick thank you. And a special thank you to those wonderful women - CarlaMac, Paula V, Amanda B (aka Wanda - ha), Angie W, Ruth M, "Virg" G...hope I didn't forget anyone!

We feel so loved!!

Together at Last

It's just funny how God works things out sometimes. Maid of Honor Amy was supposed to come down on New Years Eve and hang out for the weekend. I haven't seen her since July, and we were excited to get to spend some time together before the wedding weekend. But plans changed and she had to come down the Saturday after Christmas. That also meant she could come to 2ndEleven. Sweet.

Little did I know that Bridesmaid Courtney had also made a surprise trip to Springfield! No way!!! So in a crazy turn of events, I had all of my bridesmaids together before the wedding! I never imagined that would happen, so of course we took a few minutes to take some pictures. Thank you God for making that happen!
